Silas Kopf Woodworking is a custom furniture shop specializing in Marquetry decoration. Marquetry is the traditional craft of piecing together different species of wood, and occasionally other materials, to form pictures or graphic designs. We build objects to the highest standards using time-tested techniques and quality materials.

A Marquetry Odyssey by Silas Kopf will be available in June of 2008. It
is to be a hardcover edition with 232 pages, including 232 color plates, 17

The book explores the history of the craft of marquetry from a technical as
well as aesthetic perspective. Parallel to the history is the story of how
objects and styles of the past have influenced Mr. Kopf.
